New words are introduced in small steps and practised in different ways. No previous English knowledge is needed.

Meet everyday words

Children start with useful vocabulary for familiar topics such as greetings, animals, colours, numbers, family and food. Pictures and audio make the meaning clear, even for early readers.

Listen, choose and say

Each short lesson lets children hear English, connect words with pictures, answer simple questions and practise saying words aloud. Audio can be replayed whenever they need it.

Remember and grow

Words return in later lessons, helping children recognise and use them with more confidence. Parent corner gives you a simple view of their activity and progress, without pressure or comparison.

What will my child actually learn?

Talkio Kids introduces basic English vocabulary and simple phrases for everyday topics such as greetings, numbers, colours, animals, family and food. Children practise listening, recognising, reading and saying words, then begin using them in short sentences. It is designed as a starting point for kids with little or no English.

Does my child need to read fluently?

No. Every instruction is spoken as well as written, and pictures help carry the meaning. Reading develops alongside listening rather than being required from the start.

Which languages does it cover?

Your child learns English. The app around the lesson speaks English, Spanish, German, French, Italian and Danish, and new words are explained in whichever of those you speak at home.

Does it need Wi-Fi?

No. Every lesson, picture and recording ships inside the app, and your child's progress is stored on the device. It works on a plane, in a car and at grandma's — there is nothing to download first, nothing to sync afterwards, and no account to sign in to.

What happens to my child's voice?

Some steps ask your child to say a word out loud, and the app listens to tell whether they said it — that is what the microphone is for. The listening happens on the device itself: the recording is never uploaded and never stored. Decline the microphone and those steps become "tap when you've said it", with your child judging themselves instead. Either way, a speaking step can never hold up the mission.

How long is a session?

A mission is a few minutes long and then it ends. There is no streak to protect, no daily quota and no next reward dangled to keep your child going. You can switch on one quiet reminder a day at a time you pick, or leave reminders off entirely.

Can anyone contact my child through the app?

No. Talkio Kids has no chat, no comments, no leaderboards, no accounts and no profile for anyone to find. The only voices in the app are the crew's.

What does it cost?

You can try the first part of the course free, with no card. After that, a subscription unlocks the full learning journey and future lessons. Buying happens behind the grown-up gate, and you manage or cancel it from your App Store or Google Play account like any other subscription.
